I’m participating in Classy in Philadelphia’s Where In The World Wednesday! The idea of WITWW is to post a picture of you someplace in the world…it doesn’t have to be somewhere foreign or tropical. Just a picture of you somewhere you consider traveling.
In 2004 I studied abroad in Cork, Ireland. Naturally, I joined UCC’s women’s rugby team. Toward the end of the season we headed to Galway for a tournament. On the way, we made a pit stop to watch the Munster rugby team practice, and we got some autographs of the likes of Peter Stringer. I posted the above photo, and more details about the trip, about year ago. But I picked this picture today because lately I’ve really been missing my rugby days.

Come back over this weekend – 6 Nations is starting on Saturday! In Peter Stringer related news, I was walking down Pearse Street in Dublin one day when he popped out of nowhere and asked me for a good place to get breakfast. He’s a nice guy!
Great pic!
Why don’t you get back into the rugby if you’re missing it?
Ireland <3 Next on my list of places to go along with Germany and England!
I miss rugby. I only played for a season because, well, the nickname “the walking accident” was just a leeeeetle too apt. :p
My college had a rugby team and I totally wanted to play, so I went to a practice in order to see the game played… yeah, scared the bejesus out of me. Needless to say, I never did end up playing.
ahhhh, i miss watching rugby!
and i totally agree looking at how much something costs as compared to flights.. i’ve been back in the US almost a year and i realllly miss ireland and want to see my friends.
You should come back and play for a year! We could do with your speed on the wing! That was such a fun weekend
Ha! Rugby is hardcore, girl. Love it.
Rugby, you go girl!!! That’s an intense sport.
