I’d like you to meet Lucy the elephant…
She is a little tourist attraction between OC and AC in Jersey. She used to be a hotel and now she is a museum. I had seen her on t-shirts before, but never understood the story or where she came from.
She has definitely had a pretty interesting life.

OMG. I remember driving by Lucy as a kid when we went to visit family in Brigantine, NJ. Memories!
So funny! My dad’s relatives made he and my mom go to Lucy. They came home and described it to me and I remember thinking, “what?!?!”
I have a most awesome picture of me as a wee child standing in front of Lucy, making a face. Now I have to see if I can find it…

She used to be a hotel? There are rooms inside her? That is brilliant it’s such a shame that it’s closed now, how cool would it be to say, I got a great room in an elephant on vacation.
