My friend Bryce recently returned from a six week trip to China where she taught English. When she returned, she brought me back a beautiful painting in the form of a scroll by Kuangchun, a talented artist and blogger. Though Google Translator was somewhat useful in helping me read the artist’s blog, I am not sure that it does his posts justice.
From what she can remember, the above inscriptions express that happiness stems from a life of balance. In addition to work, travel and other leisures are necessary for shaping a well rounded life.

That’s beautiful!
We saw old family friends of ours when we were down in NC on vacation—their daughter lives over in Hong Kong 10 months out of the year. And on their most recent visit to China, they brought back these awesome necklaces for my sisters and me that have a pendant with the Lord’s prayer written in Chinese characters. I’m not a religious person AT ALL, but I absolutely love this little gift. Chinese characters are just so unique and interesting, aren’t they??
bryce from the blog? huh, i thought she had blonde hair….
What a great gift! So perfect for you.
I’m a brunette… Sorry to disappoint!
That is beautiful. I need to keep working on that balance thing.
What a beautiful gift!!! I actually speak/read Chinese, but a lot of these characters are ancient characters, so I would be of no use translating. I hope she loved China?
That is absolutely beautiful!
So pretty, I always love chinese writings especially in ancient scrolls, we bought souvenirs like that when we ( me and my family ) went to China a couple years ago.
