Ten years ago Boston Harbor was filled with beautiful ships from across the world as part of the international Tall Ships Atlantic Challenge race, and this year the tradition continued with Sail Boston.

On the way back from Narragansett, Mike and I made a quick stop downtown, met my parents and awed at the beautiful, historic ships. This weekend, I think Boston had more tourists than I have ever seen.

The ships came in all shapes and sizes and from all over the world. Boston couldn’t have had a better weekend for this event.

The race began in Vigo, Spain and then they sailed to Tenerife in the Canary Islands followed by Bermuda and Charleston, South Carolina before hitting Boston. Now they are on their way to Halifax, Canada followed by the finish in Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Your pictures came out unreal!! I saw the Tall Ships 10 yrs ago when they were here, but my sinuses were bugging me and i didn’t feel like dealing with a crowd. now for some wedding wknd pix?
