For a while I never had a huge interest in going to Hawaii because I’m not much of a beach person. I love the ocean, but the thought the of lying on a beach doing nothing for large amounts of time makes me anxious. My former idea of Hawaii is totally skewed I know, there is so much more to do in Hawaii than lie on a beach, but what actually peaked my interest in adding it to my wish list was hearing about my friend Lisa’s recent trip.
As I’ve done before, I wanted to take the liberty of blogging vicariously through my friend, and through some amazing photos, highlight her recent trip to Hawaii…

I’ve had a rough week, though it’s still only the beginning, but the wost is behind me. I’m sorry I can’t give my blog the attention I usually do this week, but I hope you enjoy this quick highlight, I think these photos are beautiful.

Hawaii is amazing. I went there when I was 16 on a school trip and think that I didn’t really appreciate it fully. You’d love the big island though – no beaches but plenty in explore, including an active volcano.

my mom is in hawaii right now! she’s been sending me pics to my cell phone all week of the amazing scenery. im so jealous! she picked the best two weeks ever to be there, seeing as how it’s been dumping rain here ever since she left!!

You should talk to David F, he’s going to Hawaii next month for he first time! I’m sure he can share some good tips and pictures too.
Meanwhile, I’m with you about not sitting on a beach, but there is so much to do there I don’t think you’d be bored. Hiking, volcanoes, surfing, snorkeling… I’d love to stay at one of those surf camps for a week myself.

I would love to be there but not just because I love the beach, but mostly because I’ve always wanted to go to Volcanoes National Park.
