I had a Paper City brew with my friend Kerry at Bukowski before she heads back to California. I swear it was a Paper City Ireland Dam Ale because I wrote it down on my coaster to remember. However, the closest thing I can find on their web site is a Holyoke Dam Ale and an Ireland Parish Golden Ale. Did the menu merge the two or am I going crazy?
That’s neither here nor there.
Either way, it was good. The beer was not too hoppy and not too malty. Usually it’s either an intense amount of one or the other (and when that’s the case I choose hoppy), but this one had a good balance of both. And I bought local, which is never a bad thing…

Local breweries are always the best. I choose a microbrew over MillerLite any day!

Yummm. I hadn’t heard of Paper City until a couple weeks ago when I went to the local bites sustainability convention when I had some sort of chocolate stout… which I also can’t find on their website! It was really delicious though!
