blogging across the pond

One week ago today I dedicated my little link bureau to real life friends who jumped on the blogwagon (ha, did you like that?). This week, I was pleasantly surprised to see that another friend has joined in and I can pretty much guarantee that the blog of this girl -  smart, witty and talented – will be as good of a read. Meet Ali Donnelly.

Ali is my friend from Cork, who is now a big shot in London. We met when Lisa and I joined the UCC Women’s Rugby Team while studying there. It was one of the best decisions I made.

I miss Cork a lot, but I was recently very happy to find a wonderful blog that has taken me back to those times – a blog through which I can live vicariously. Erin from and her heart is in ireland is an American living in Ireland and her blog isn’t only wonderful because she brings back good memories for me. It is great because she is thoughtfully observant, always reports her fun adventures and she shares her amazing photos, among other things.

This week, Erin was kind enough to give me this little blog award and I am very grateful :)

So here’s what the “Love Ya” award is all about:

“These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award!”

And now it is my turn to pass this along to eight more bloggers. Enjoy!

Lindsay of Adventures of a Book Thief.

Shannalee of Food Loves Writing.

Carrie of Gettin’ Carried Away.

EP of Stylish Handwriting.

Andi of Misadventures with Andi.

Liz of it be Liz (another American in Ireland and real life friend who blogs).

Karina of el beso.

Jacqueline of Miss Musing.
