Let’s not beat around the bush.
I am watching my budget like crazy and for some reason whenever I do that, it makes me want to travel even more. I am really good at making life harder for myself. This week, there were some great posts on how to travel on a budget, so if you are so inclined, I advise that you check them out…
- Citing the fact that travelers are looking to trim their budgets, the Boston Globe’s Paul Makishima posted the top 10 fast food chains on Globe-trotting, Boston.com’s travel blog. In-N-Out Burger is #1, which is something I totally agree with.
- Tom Dibblee tells us how to move to Paris with no money on Matador Network.
- Ondine Cohane posted affordable Europe destinations on Conde Nast Traveler’s Daily Traveler.
- Erica Johannson of Travel Blissful posted the top ten trains in the world, according to AskMen.com, which is a pretty affordable and scenic way to travel.
- Jeannette Kimmel on Intelligent Travel notes that in celebration of President Obama’s inauguration, Ethiopian Airlines are offering a “Free Companion Fare“–one free ticket from the U.S. to some 32 destinations in Africa with the purchase of another ticket between now and March 30.

I couldn’t agree more about In-N-Out Burger…it’s some of the most photogenic, delicious fast-food I’ve had the pleasure of consuming. If only they’d expand to the Northeast!

Mmmm, In-N-Out . . . I may have to go get some tonight. I live 10 minutes from one, but don’t take advantage of it nearly enough.
