my little link bureau: promoting good causes

Posted by susan on January 14th, 2009. Filed under: go green.

It is times like these when I realize I have chosen the right profession- when someone asks me to help them promote something they care about- and I get so excited. Not only because I like to learn about the ways in which the causes are being promoted, but because in these particular cases, I think their causes are great.

First…

We Are Not Martha has been asked to participate in a really exciting promotion/contest for a chance to win $5,000 that they can donate to a hunger charity of their choice. The lovely ladies at We Are Not Martha plan to donate it to the Greater Boston Food Bank, but they need your help!

Here’s what you can do:

1) Visit http://www.startwithsubstance.com/ to get to the Quaker Facebook fan page and to read the official rules.

2) Become a fan of Quaker on Facebook and download and print out a picture of the Quaker Oatmeal Man (found on the Facebook fan page).

3) Take your picture (or video) with him and upload the picture to the Facebook fan page.

4) Put the link to your photo in the comments section of this post.

5) You only have 24 hours to do this. So, your picture needs to be up and your comment need to be in by Thursday at 10:00 a.m. EST.

*Only one person should be in each photo with the Quaker Man.

See, I did it!
