upromise dining

I joined Upromise after my sister raved about it and the second that she told me, I nagged Mike to join too – he hasn’t yet.

Upromise is pretty much an account you can set up and link to your credit cards and depending on where you spend your money, earn cash for college. It is a great idea, but you do need to do the research on where to spend if you actually want to earn something – it is not a difficult task at all, I just haven’t made it my priority. I’ve been a member for quite some time and I think I have made about $6.00. I usually just go about my life and then randomly get emails reminding me of that time I bought a beer at some bar or a meal at some restaurant.

Earlier this week however, I received an email that notified me of Upromise’s restaurant week – November 17 – 30. With this promotion, which has many participants offering a whopping 8 percent on the total bill, I was able to type in my new zip code and pull up participating restaurants in my area, and it even listed the mileage.

Stacy gave me the idea that I should blog about it, so here I am. If you are a member of Upromise, you can find the list on the Upromise web site, all you have to do is type in your zip code and it pulls up those closest to you.

I think I want to try Benatti’s in Cambridge because it is the closest one that offers the highest percentage – and because I love Italian food. And luckily, I will also be able to earn some cash at the Thirsty Scholar.
